Work of art! Shoojit Sircar’s direction and story by Juhi Chaturvedi – October is a masterpiece. Starring Varun Dhawan gives many beautiful scenes along with Banita Sandhu.

October is the story of Dan (Varun Dhawan) and Shiuli (Banita Sandhu); hotel management students who work for the same hotel. They are in a group of other employees, but don’t interact much. Dan is bold and speaks his mind. He is innocent and has all the qualities of a raging teenager. Dan is unhappy with his professional life because his honest opinions bogs him down. Shiuli, is hard-working smart junior employee who’s very focused about her career. Unfortunately a certain incident makes Shiuli hospitalized but her last question of “Where’s Dan?” keeps Dan hooked to her throughout. The story is about how Dan falls for this bedridden Shiuli in the quest of searching an incomplete piece to complete the beautiful puzzle of their life. The script is written by Juhi Chaturvedi, a great attempt by her. She gives a tragic narration and keeps the proceedings light. The script of October is beautiful and incomplete in many ways.

October reveals Varun Dhawan’s his versatility and his portrayal of Dan is so sensitive and seems effortless. Varun Dhawan’s performance and portrayal is flawless, Dan has a unique realistic habits like stammering a little while talking giving a feel that he isn’t delivering any dialogue but speaking according to the situation. Banita Sandhu does not have dialogues through the major portion of the film but she has emoted Shiuli with her unique charm.

October has infused many metaphors and subtexts in the movie which would connect with a certain section of audience. Shantanu Moitra’s background score is colorful and flows like a river. This is a song-less movie and the entire story has been carried by the background score itself.

Watch October for Varun Dhawan, he is versatile and transformed into the lead character by Shoojit Sircar.

October releases on 13th April, 2018.
