Raees is a thrilling film with a lot of entertainment, it’s a complete package of action, romance and drama. The story is unrealistic and it celebrates a felonious man.

Raees is undoubtedly a thrilling watch. With Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead role and Nawaz takes his role with much ease.

Raees (Shah Rukh Khan) is an optimistic child, who learns the tricks of doing business at an early age in his school going years. He learns the trade of alcohol in a dry state (Gujarat). After working under a powerful liquor smuggler (Atul Kulkarni) in his early years, he soon decides to start his own business.

He has his own rule, “Koi dhanda chota nai hota, aur dhande se bada koi dharam nai hota, jisse kisika bura na ho.”
He has his manipulative mind-set ‘tedha dimaag’ this man is also called Battery (because of his spectacles) and soon he manages to make it to the big league. His booming business and growing success is traced by Superintendent of Police Jaideep Ambalal Majmudar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). They begin their chase trying to outsmart each other.

Raees has his unique and street smart ways and political connections that work in favor, Majmudar’s is calculative and has the patience in following up with the criminal is a true laudable value. In the beginning of the film, we get to see a disclaimer that the film is not based on anyone’s life.

The main element to Raees is that it keeps the audience captivated and it great to watch. The film has many political, romantic and action filled elements keeping a Bollywood fan entertained. Dialogues are bold and play a crucial part in the film. Mainly, “Main Dharma Ka Dhanda Nai Karta” and “Battery Nai Bolneka” have been outstanding dialogues. The film also gives another meaning to, “Aa raha hoon”.

Shah Rukh Khan looks impressive brimming with confidence as Raees. His kohl eyed look nails the appearance of the don. SRK is great in his acting bits, he particularly excels in scenes where he is enraged and also when he breaks down. Mahira Khan’s casting has got many talking, unfortunately, she gives a good performance in scenes. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is fabulous, he is brilliant and offers a fun watch. Zeeshan Ayyub is a great actor and gives a great performance. Atul Kulkarni, Sheeba Chadda, Uday Tikekar put up a great supporting cast.

Rahul Dholakia’s Raees  features SRK style romance, with great action and chase sequence with a dramatic climax.
