Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran is a film for all those who have patriotic sentiments for their nation! Without being jingoistic, the film presents a real incident along with cinematic experiences. John Abraham does justice to the role, he offers nail-biting sequences which are expected from a film of this genre.

The film has many important scenes that take the film ahead, these offer the link while hearing such an interesting story. Surpassing all expectations, Parmanu gives a high. The film begins with a nonsensical discussion happening in the Prime Minister’s Office regarding how China has tested 43 of its nuclear bombs. Ashwat Rana (John Abraham), a junior bureaucrat, decides to carryout a full proof plan but gets sidelined the ministers. He’s asked to make a brief report and with no involvement, the plan is conducted and it does not succeed. He’s targeted as a scapegoat and gets terminated for this failure.

Ashwat is dejected but continues his life as a Civil Service tuition teacher until Himanshu Shukla, principle secretary to the Prime Minister, wants him to join his plan that failed years ago. This mission turns out to be a way for Ashwat to prove his love for the country. He comes up with his dream team to carryout multiple nuclear bombs in Pokhran, Rajasthan. He has to carryout without catching the attention of American satellites, the rest of the film revolves around the plot.

Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran is written by Neerja duo of Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh is back as they present an exceptional script for this one too. The film has the right combination of patriotism, emotions, humour and thrill, the script of this movie is a winner.

John Abraham is just too perfect for the role! He’s subtle when it’s required and charming when the proceedings get too intense. The efforts were visible and he delivers a memorable performance. Boman Irani gives a commendable performance! He has a limited presence but is able to makes the audience laugh and admire him. Diana Penty is great, and has a seeti-maar scene in the climax. She looks beautiful as always!

The rest of the team plays a very important part and each character does their part well. Yogendra Tiku shines and brings in the comic relief. Anuja Sathe’s character is half baked and of very less importance. She is good in her role and should’ve gotten a meatier presence.

Abhishek Sharma has made a good film, Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran succeeds in making everyone sit on the edge of their seats till the end. The film has created the ‘blind spot’ timing sequences of satellites brilliantly.

With many songs in the film, Jeet Gannguli and Sachin-Jigar have succeeded to carry the story forward. Singer Divya Kumar has contributed to the passion the script creates. The film is good to see veteran Sandeep Chowta composing the background score for the film.

Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran provides an experience that will remain long past one leaves the cinema hall. This one is for the country.

Parmanu – The Story Of Pokhran releases on 25th May, 2018.
