The film brings in a powerful actor like Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep Singh, Vijay Raaz who steals the show and Taapsee Pannu’s top performance.

The promo shows that Soorma is the story about one of the greatest comebacks as far as Indian sports is concerned. Sandeep Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) who plays hockey to impress a girl. He wants to do his best and win the love of Harpreet (Taapsee Pannu), who also is an aspiring hockey player but is a dedicated player. After a lot of intense training, Sandeep is able to get into Hockey as he wants to play for the nation. Under the guidance of his brother Bikramjeet (Angad Bedi) – who lost his chance of selection in the national team – and his coach Harry (Vijay Raaz), Sandeep gets through to play for India. But a tragic accident on a train makes him partially paralysed below the waist. Sandeep is left without some important people in his life , he gets up from the chaos and represents India once again to win some more trophies and break some huge records.

The script is inspiring and evokes passion for sports. Soorma showcases brotherly bond to a father-son relationship, from a love story to an Indo-Pak match. Soorma gives many aspects to the life of Sandeep. Soorma deliver the high spirits and evokes emotions, the movie is commendable for its performances. Diljit Dosanjh gives a hearty performance and scores all the love. Taapsee Pannu looks great in the film, she adds enthusiasm and works hard in every scene. Vijay Raaz is great and lives up to the expectations people have from him. Angad Bedi is good in scenes, he gives innocent and honest performance. S

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy offer a mixed bag of songs for Soorma. The title track, Ishq Di Baajiyaan & Pardesiya are great for the film. The Soorma anthem is good to listen and creates the desired impact. Pardesiya is a one of the most popular tracks of the year.

Soorma is an inspirational story of Sandeep Singh and excels with the performance of Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu & Vijay Raaz.
