Irrfan Khan and his dialogue delivery has Karwaan carry on with its entertainment value, along with explored picturesque locations.

Dulquer Salmaan (Avinash) is someone who’s software engineer but not happy with his job. His father had stopped him from chasing his dream of becoming a photographer. After he hears the news of his father being dead in a bus accident informed to him in a very confusing and yet hilarious way. He goes to Shaukat to borrow his van in order to bring his father’s dead body from the airport.

He is told that his father’s body has been swapped with someone else and now it’s in Kochi. Their journey over two dead bodies start from that juncture. All this leads to some situations in which Avinash and Shaukat meet Tanya (Mithila Palkar). Karwaan plot revolves around the journey of the three of them  and how they find themselves.

Bejoy Nambiar’s story is exceptional with fresh bits, the entire scenario of a road trip is explored well. We get to hear about how Avinash did not have a good relationship with his father but the film does not explore that connect. The makers have attempted the phenomena of ‘finding oneself’ in a very convincing way. The film is a good ‘journey’ film similar to that of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Piku, it’s definately more than the road trip. Karwaan has many unique elements.

Karwaan starring Irrfan Khan makes the audience stay glued to their seats. He’s one of those rare actors who has always been appreciated for his work. His dialogue delivery is amusing every single time. Dulquer Salmaan is charming in the film. His Bollywood debut with Karwaan is impressive. Mithila Palkar does well, she is her natural self and that works in her favour. Irrfan Khan’s hilarious dialogues delivery, the film has a cameo appearance of Kirti Kharbanda. Akarsh Khurana is a good director with a new story.

Arijit Singh’s Chota Sa Fasana is very good from the other songs. It fits very well with the story and has been blended well at places. Heartquake has quirky lyrics that makes it a good listen. The music of SlowCheeta’s Dhai Kilo Bakwaas is great.

Karwaan will be remembered for Irrfan Khan’s comic timing and entertaining storyline.

Karwaan releases on 3rd August, 2018.
