Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Namaste London (2007) won our hearts with its innocence and romance. And now, Arjun Kapoor’s and Parineeti Chopra Namastey England is all set to release eleven years later.

The film’s trailer is released and the film looks promising and a lot of fun. The film has a serious message that Bollywood is now addressing with its recent films- the freedom of women in a patriarchal world.

Arjun and Parineeti can be seen playing a happily married couple. However, Parineeti Chopra has dreams and aspirations of her own and wants to run away and go to England and make a life for herself. She is looking for her freedom, which has been denied in her conservative household.

Arjun Kapoor seems to be the extension of his Ki and Ka character, the new film has ha loving and supportive husband. The question that the trailer also seems to ask is, how far will you go for the one you love?

Arjun and Parineeti are reuniting for the second time after Ishaqzaade (2012). The two look good and share a positive chemistry on screen and have a close friendship off-screen as well.

Earlier in an Instagram post, Parineeti called Arjun her most “compatible co-star, trustworthy mentor and honest friend”.

She wrote, “I don’t know if we realise it, we are same-same but different. Thanks baba for being my bouncing board, my partner in crime and my true true true friend. Thank you for understanding me even when I don’t say anything! Thank you for always listening, whether it’s my rubbish or my advice!! I hope this friendship continues forever, and also shows in the beautiful love story we have made in Namaste England. No, this is NOT a plug in for the film, this is an honest thank you note to my teacher.”

Namaste England will hit the screens on October 19. It has been directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
