Abhishek Bachchan is all set to make a comeback to the big screen after a two-year break

Mani Ratnam’s 2004 critically acclaimed Yuva had featured Abhishek Bachchan’s raw and rustic Lallan Singh. Lallan was a very sensitive person but with his frailties, one of the primary aspect being that he never knows when to stop. Lallan was not just abusive, but greedy and petty also, but he is still remembered to be dynamic. A good combination of contradictions brought alive by Abhishek Bachchan’s portrayal of the character.

Before Mani Ratnam’s Yuva, the actor had had a few unsuccessful films like Zameen, Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost and Kuch Naa Kaho. With Yuva that Abhishek won over critics.

In Yuva, Abhishek did a great job walking the swagger of a don and his demeanour throughout most of the movie had an unshakeable confidence. Abhishek’s character was great and connected well with Rani Mukerji and Vijay Raaz. While Vijay was seen played the perfect sidekick to Lallan, it was Rani Mukerji’s emotional vulnerability that helped feed Abhishek’s Lallan and made it that much more real. And, Abhishek had Mani Ratnam as the captain of the ship.

Now Abhishek Bachchan is all set to make a comeback to the big screen after a two-year break.
