FryDay stars Govinda in his elements, the actor is great in his role and proves his undying passion for acting.
The film is hilarious with Manu Rishi Chadha’s dialogues and the return of Govinda is thrilling for those who have grown up watching his entertaining films for years! The film is a blasphemy and one cant find logic but FryDay is a lot of jokes and entertainment! The delivers everything it promises.
Govinda is seen as Gagan Kapoor, who is a flirtatious theater actor living an unsatisfied married life. He has a girlfriend Bindu (Digangna Suryavanshi) and is in love with her. Rajiv Chabbra (Varun Sharma) – a struggling salesman tries to save his job. He sells water purifier for Pavitra Paani company and gets a warning from his boss. “If you don’t sell one water purifier before this Friday, you’ll get fired,” says Rajiv’s boss to him.
Rajiv does everything to take guidance from astrologers and meets Manchanda (Sanjay Mishra). He gets advised of creating a relationship with his customers and also a reference of Gagan Kapoor. Gagan’s wife plans to go out of town for a weekend and Bindu gets an invitation. Unknowingly Rajiv reaches on the same day, Friday, when Gagan plans to have a fun-day with Bindu. The comedy of errors begins and creates situations which evoke many laughs.
FryDay is Rajeev Kaul’s story and is repeated over and over again in Bollywood but what wins hearts is Manu Rishi Chadha’s dialogues. The one liners are funny and packed in the film. They don’t allow any dull moments on screen. The film is for those who can connect to the slapstick humour.
“Aa gaya re hero!” Govinda is great in his role. He’s a dynamic and people can see it throughout the film. Energetic, trying to give his best shot and succeeds at same. His redeems his lost glory and his Mughal-E-Azam’s adaptation scene is hilarious. Varun Sharma is ideal for the role, he gets stereotypical roles. He has given similar roles but FryDay is refreshing coming from him. The extend cameos of Sanjay Mishra and Brijendra Kala are entertaining and worth the laughs. Digangna Suryavanshi is good and Varun Sharma’s ‘screw ki size ka’ friend is funny.
FryDay is one entertaining film and a must watch for Govinda fans and those who love slapstick humour.
FryDay Movie releases on 12th October, 2018.
