As Halloween is coming close, audience will get to spend the weekend in an old lighthouse rumored to be inhabited by restless spirits. A first look into the world of Widow’s Point, an indie horror film directed by Gregory Lamberson, opening in 2019.

Longtime horror author Richard Chizmar has collaborated with his son, Billy, for a ghost story that will be coming with a visceral punch. The backdrop is built in 1838, the haunted Widow’s Point lighthouse in Harper’s Cove, Nova Scotia, has been plagued by bad luck, including many disappearances, a suicide, murders, and even the slaughter of an entire family by its patriarch. It stayed empty for 30 years. Thomas Livingston, a bestselling author of supernatural nonfiction, decides to stage a stunt and keep himself locked in the lighthouse for three nights, with only a video camera and audio recorder—no phone or internet.

The transcripts of recordings captured by the video camera fails as soon as Livingston walks in the door. The story is about three days of horror. Livingston encounters stairs that is unending, tainted food and water, voices from the dark, and even the sudden appearance of a blood smeared hammer that was used in a series of gruesome murders.
