Baazaar starring Saif Ali Khan is brilliant with his sharp performance and Aseem Arora’s impressive dialogues. The film also marks two impressive debuts by Gauravv K Chawla (Director) and Rohan Mehra (Actor)!

This film is from those good movies which are meant for a target audience. Starring Shakun Kothari (Saif Ali Khan) is a well known business tycoon and every stock trader wants his attention. Rizwan Ahmed (Rohan Mehra), an upcoming moneymaker who lives with a conservative Farhan Qureshi’s kinda dad in Allahabad – Prayagraj. Rizwan is street-smart and has high dreams to be in Mumbai and to establish a name for himself. He idolizes Shakun as his guide and gets to meet Priya (Radhika Apte) who helps in many ways and gets then a job as a trader in a top firm. The audience will get to see the game of Brain vs Heart and how they make & break things is what the rest of the story revolves around.

Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arora’s screenplay is well done and drawn during the major part of the film. Swapnil Sonawane excels in camera works and gets the look and feel of essence of stock market.

Baazaar starring Saif Ali Khan is makes it happen, he’s remarkable as Shakun Kothari! Outstanding performance in the role of a sharp businessman. He has some impressive dialogues and delivers one of his best. Rohan Mehra is fantastic in his maiden attempt at movies. He is able to create a balance and handles the every emotion very naturally. Radhika Apte has given a notable performance, she’s good at picking up roles that are good for her. Chitrangda Singh is good, she has a small contribution to the story. Manish Chaudhari as Rana Dasgupta is fine.

Baazaar is made under Gauravv K Chawla’s direction, it is perfect for a movie. There are not many songs that disrupt the story and watching experience. Tanishk Bagchi’s Kem Cho is heard in the background and goes well with the scenes, best song of the album. Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Billionaire is quirky as most of his songs and comes at a juncture where it was required. Adhoora Lafz, La La La and Chhod Diya are average.

Baazaar is an entertaining movie with some superlative performances and refined direction.

Baazaar releases on 26th October, 2018.
