Natalie Portman is all set to charm the audience in her upcoming pop-music thriller movie, Vox Lux. The trailer brings out a sense of curiosity about Portman’s characterisation. Actor-turned-director Brady Corbet has directed the movie and the trailer looks extremely promising. Portman will be seen playing Celeste, an intrepid pop star born out of a troubled and tumultuous past.

The trailer is compelling and manages to keep away a lot of information. It gives us the taste of what kind of tone to expect from the movie. It also sheds light on Natalie Portman’s Celeste, who seems strong and unabashed. In the intro scene, Celeste is in conversation with a journalist about her new album, of which she says “It’s about rebirth”. The inquisitive trailer suggests at the flick’s powerful, jarring interpretation of the contemporary world they live in today, and how Celeste deals with the adversaries. It also keeps the viewers hooked till the end by highlighting Portman’s vivacious performance and a high-intensity euphonic background score.

As per the official synopsis, the movie is about two sisters played by Natalie Portman and Stacy Martin who survive a violent tragedy in the year 1999 and record a song about it. In 2017, the 31-year old Celeste (Portman) is struggling to stabilise her career.

Sharing the background music, the musical drama will also feature original songs written by Sia and a score from Scott Walker.

Vox Lux also stars Jude Law, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin and Jennifer Ehle among others. Vox Lux is scheduled to release on December 7.
