Kedarnath shows a heavy downpour with a lot of drama, the love story of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan is beautifully written. The first half showcases spell-binding cinematography that captures the essence of Kedarnath very realistically. The lead performers have given their best and are impressive. A lot of drama, the film should be watched for the performance of the lead pair.
Mansoor Khan (Sushant Ali Khan) is a pitthoo in Kedarnath region who ports the visitors on his back helping them to cover the trekking distance and drops at the temple. Mandakani Mishra aka Mukku (Sara Ali Khan) is the daughter of a well to do priest who also owns a few hotels in that area. They both are huge fans of cricket and that bonds them to get very close to each other so they get intimate and kiss in a cave.
“Even your mule will be smart enough to understand that this love story isn’t possible,” says the sister of Mukku, Brinda (Pooja Gor) to Mansoor. As expected Mukku’s family strongly disagree with her relationship. But the issue is that Mukku is already engaged to marry another man. Right in this amidst the mayhem breaks and the flood comprises a huge disaster.
Kedarnath offers a fresh take on a story with the backdrop of a natural disaster. Abhishek Kapoor’s film is written by Kanika Dhillon. The backstory of Mansoor’s father is interesting, the film is a good watch.
Kedarnath has star performance Sushant Singh Rajput, who is marvellous in his role. His expressions are spot on and all the confidence he has can be seen as he plays a Pahari guy with impressive body language. A reflection of her mother, Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan gives a great performance with her debut. She’s good in most of the scenes. Alka Amin is very good as Mansoor’s mother and emotes her expressions with a lot of grace and beauty. Abhishek Kapoor’s direction is great with the theme.
Amit Trivedi’s song are great. Apart From Sweetheart, the three songs are good. Jaan Nisaar, tops the lot. Hitesh Sonik’s background score is great.
Kedarnath is worth a watch for Sushant Singh Rajput, Sara Ali Khan and its spell-binding cinematography.
Kedarnath releases on 07th December, 2018.
