KGF – Chapter 1 Movie has exceptional cinematography which makes the film look visually appealing and Yash’s one man army attitude. Those who are not a fan of chaotic masala entertainers, should watch this film.

Rocky (Yash) who is the product of Kolar Gold Field gets discovered along with the gold in that area. His mother does not survive and passes away with a deadly disease. She asks him to be the richest man in the world. All this happens in the late 50s in the decade where Rocky was a newborn. We get to see government declaring warrant against the biggest criminal of India. There’s a journalist whose book on Rocky’s life was banned and is seized by the government.

Yet another journalist gets the last burnt copy of that book and here’s where the flashback begins. Right from the birth of Rocky to how he grows up to fulfill his mother’s dream of being the richest man. The film is about his journey. We also gets introduced to Reena (Srinidhi Shetty), the love interest of Rocky and her Mafia family. Rocky gets involved with all of them to set free the Kolar Gold Fields & rule it.

Directed by Prashanth Nee, who has also penned the story himself which is similar to the plot that is repeated in Indian cinema. The character of Yash makes this one interesting than many others. The film is 2 and a half hours, and major sequences has a lot of drama on-screen. The look of the film is impressive and Bhuvan Gowda’s camera has captured the aerial shots brilliantly. Yet again, we see slow motion sequences that are used just for the sake of it and hence feels monotonous after a point of time.

KGF – Chapter 1 stars Yash who delivers an explosive performance. He’s great in the film and has a promising future in Bollywood. Srinidhi Shetty looks the part but gets a very limited scope of here. The actor who plays Garuda is very good, he’s there for a restricted time.

KGF – Chapter 1 has Ravi Basrur’s music, songs such as Gali Gali, background score is good. Even the theme of Rocky is very nice.

KGF is a good film and has a charismatic lead star.
