Simmba’s success made Rohit Shetty first Bollywood director to make 8 Rs 100-crore films

Director, Rohit Shetty has emerged as the new hit machine of Bollywood. The filmmaker has made many masala entertainers and has successfully delivered 8 Bollywood films that have collected Rs 100 crore mark. With Simmba’s success, Rohit Shetty becomes the first Bollywood director to achieve this feat. His latest film starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan has managed to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in just five days of its release. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also announced this new achievement of the director in his tweets.

He’s the Hit Machine… A name that’s synonymous with Hits… Ro-Hit Shetty’s latest endeavour #Simmba is not only winning hearts, but also ruling the BO.

Taran wrote, “Like I pointed out yesterday, #Simmba is Rohit Shetty’s eighth film to cross ₹ 100 cr mark… Rohit holds the record for maximum films in ₹ 100 cr Club… Indeed, Rohit is making the audience laugh in theatres and his distributors laugh all the way to the bank!”

Rohit Shetty’s film are known for their masala and action scenes. His films have high-voltage drama, action, romance, songs and lots of flying cars.

#Simmba should be close to ₹ 60 cr in Week 1 Overseas… Excellent in USA-Canada, UAE-GCC and Australia in particular.

Before Simmba, the 7 Rohit Shetty films that have collected more than Rs 100 crore at the box office are: Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Chennai Express, Singham Returns, Dilwale and Golmaal Again. Golmaal Again released in theatres in 2017 on the occasion of Diwali. The film became an instant hit among the audience with horror plus comedy genre.
