Stree is all about a true phenomenon, the cast is able to entertain throughout the film!

Stree is an entertainer and is very tactfully written, the dialogues are great along with the performance by the cast. This film makes sure there are laughs on regular intervals, all the cast members have done well.

Although the story seems a very limited scope and the narration seems repetitive after a point of time. Stree means woman in English. The movie is ‘based on a ridiculously true phenomenon’, opens with camera zooming through the narrow lanes of Chanderi. We get to meet Chanderi ka Manish Malhotra Vicky (Rajkummar Rao), who’s actually a magician in the disguise of a tailor. Stree is a ghost who comes to village during the Puja and hunts down the males in the area. Vicky’s has a few close friends – Bittu (Aparshakti Khurrana) and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) who are frightened of him meeting with this unknown girl who they think is Stree. But if she is or not is the film all about? Is Stree someone else or there’s nothing but only a myth. Rudra (Pankaj Tripathi) is an expert who is learning about the existence of Stree and plans to help Vicky and friends. Second half of the film is basically clarifying questions that are being asked in first half. Throughout the film, both the halves are very entertaining.

Stree offers a good story on a big screen and has Sumit Arora’s dialogues that are keeping the audience in splits. Rajkummar Rao is fantastic and steals the show. He’s praise worthy with brilliant portrayal of Vicky. Rajkummar Rao gives a great performance and the film becomes memorable. Shraddha Kapoor is good and looks pleasant on the screen. Her chemistry with Rajkummar is great. Pankaj Tripathi was not seen in the first half but he makes it up in the second half. Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee grabbed attention as they were both winners of the film. The first half has Abhishek Banerjee all the way.

Amar Kaushik has given a good film that works well for everyone. Sachin-Jigar’s songs are good, all of them are great and does not seem forced. Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe is the background whereas Nora Fatehi shines with Kamariya. Ketan Sodha’s background score blends into the story and plays a huge role in creating the right kind of atmosphere.

Stree Movie has some outstanding dialogues and spell-binding performances. Stree is an entertaining movie.

Stree Movie releases on 31st August, 2018.
