Thugs Of Hindostan is a good looking film but as they fails to create a good impression. There is a lot of bits that add to the chaos happening on screen. One good this is that individual performance is great in a few scenes. Thugs Of Hindostan is packaged well and with a lot of things happening which is intriguing the story is common and done many times but still one can’t connect with it.

The film is set in 1795, Thugs Of Hindostan is the story revolving around a revenge of a daughter for British had killed her father. Zafira (Fatima Sana Shaikh) – the daughter is well trained as an archer under Khudabaksh aka Azad (Amitabh Bachchan) and 11 years later. Unfortunately, they come across with Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan). As Aamir Khan himself said recently, Firangi is someone you adore but can’t be friends with him. He wears a jade colour coat that is an indication that he’s a chameleon and one can’t tell when he’s bluffing. He is hired by the Britishers’ head John Clive (Lloyd Owen) to capture Azad and his army of rebellions. Firangi is looking for a big sum of money and also the release of his friend Chawani Prasad (Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub). Right from then the audience can see the chameleon-like trait of Aamir and sways on the side of British.

Thugs Of Hindostan has every ingredient of being a blockbuster apart from a good story. After Dhoom 3, Vijay Krishna Acharya presents this visually brilliant but technically a sinking ship. The entire Firangi being a backstabber is so overdone that after a point of time they know he’s not as bad as the makers are trying to show. Amitabh Bachchan nails the act and masters his scenes. He’s active doing stunts on screen. He was good and creates a great impact to the film and story. After appearing in Ghajini, 3 Idiots, PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar – Aamir Khan is seen as Firangi who is a strange character. Parts are entertaining, audience would expect more from Aamir Khan who has outstanding body of work. Katrina Kaif is seen in a couple of songs and has an extended cameo. She does not have much to add value to the story which surely captures attention. Fatima Sana Shaikh has very few dialogues but gives an impressive performance. She does look like an archer and is very good performing the action sequences. Ronit Roy is seen in his cameo and is fine and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub could not impress because of slack writing. Lloyd Owen as John Clive is not good as the villain.

Thugs Of Hindostan is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, it’s the story and screenplay fails the mega film. Action sequences are very well choreographed. VFX is well arranged but were times when its too much and right on face. The film is well directed. Ajay-Atul’s songs are good and situational but add no value to the visuals. Suraiyya and Manzoor-E-Khuda is good because of Katrina and Vashmalle with presence of Amitabh and Aamir. John Stewart Eduri’s background score is great in the film.

Thugs Of Hindostan releases on 8th November, 2018.
