Jhootha Kahin Ka offers genuine entertainment, lots of situational dialogues that help the film.

The story of the Jhootha Kahin Ka revolves around the life of two friends Varun (Sunny Singh) and Karan (Sunny Singh). Both the friends have settled in Mauritius and fall in love but have a few issues with their respective partners. Varun’s girlfriend Riya (Nimisha Mehta) doesn’t want to leave her physically-disabled dad Mr. Mehta (Manoj Joshi) post marriage. Whereas Karan’s girlfriend Sonam (Rucha Vaidya) is all set to get married but there’s some issue.

According to Karan his elder brother, Tommy (Jimmy Sheirgill) is in the US but actually, he’s completing his term in jail. Varun tella lies to Mr. Mehta of having any family to get married to Riya. Soon after that, Varun’s father Yograj Singh (Rishi Kapoor) plans to surprise him. He reaches Mauritius with his brother-in-law Koka (Rajesh Sharma); and rent the bungalow right next to Mehtas. All this creates a lot of confusion and the story takes a lead!

It’s tough to write a story with an tangled confusion. But, writers Shreya Srivastava and Vaibhav Suman are able to to bring in some hilarious sequences through their story. The film is a Hindi recreation of director’s hit Punjabi film Carry On Jatta 2, which itself was loosely based on 1989’s Malayalam movie Chakkikotha Chankaran.

Rishi Kapoor as Yograj Singh gives a great performance. After a very similar zone in Patel Ki Punjabi Shadi, Rishi steps into the comical zone with this one. His character could have been written with more details. Although his performance is similar in his last two films, Sunny Singh is able to manage to charm all. Omkar Kapoor’s character Varun adds comedy. He gets a better role than this one. Manoj Joshi and Rajesh Sharma gather a lot of laughs. Both of them get funny lines. Jimmy Sheirgill is also good in his role!

Brilliant performances by the entire star cast. After Carry On Jatta, Smeep Kang tries a similar formula in Bollywood.

Saturday Night can be a good party track. Jhootha Kahin Kais a good entertainer.
