The 2007 super hit film, which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiny Ahuja, was a remake of the Malayalam horror film Manichitrathazu.

Horror comedy seems like a new success formula for Bollywood, so perhaps a remake of the film that started it all, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is the natural course of action.

The 2007 super hit film, which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiny Ahuja, was a remake of the Malayalam horror film Manichitrathazu. And now, the sequel to the film will be helmed by Kartik Aaryan.

A source close to the project reveald, “The makers are planning to have Akshay Kumar for a special appearance for the sequel. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.”

Although Akshay Kumar has a busy schedule, his presence in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 seems unsure, but it would be refreshing for the fans to get a glimpse of the superstar. Meanwhile, the leading lady for the movie is yet to be decided.

According to the sources, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan are being considered for this film.
