Luka Chuppi basic plot is simple and entertaining, Pankaj Tripathi is hilarious in the film!

Luka Chuppi’s comedy and emotional connect is good and makes everyone laugh.

Mathura’s Vinod “Guddu” Shukla works as a reporter of a news channel, and its name is as predictable as the basic plot of this film – Mathura Live. He hails from a very ordinary family, having an elder brother unmarried, an uncle and a blackmailing nephew. Guddu meets Rashmi “She doesn’t have a pet name” Trivedi (Kriti Sanon), who wants to be a journalist and gets the job in the same news channel. Rashmi’s father (Vinay Pathak) is a politician who does not believe in the concept of live-in culture and opposes it publicly.

Guddu and Rashmi hail from very different families, fall for each other. Guddu gets into a heated argument with his elder brother and challenges him he will marry first and proposes Rashmi. Rashmi decides to live-in with Guddu in order to know him better. They face a lot of difficulties and keep lying about their relationship status till the very end. This is the rest of the story.

Rohan Shankar has written this script which is good. This romantic comedy is fun filled with lots of condom jokes, fart jokes. With annoying neighbour aunty, this movie is predictable. The dialogues are the old recycled ones with outdated punch lines that are not less funny. Pankaj Tripathi does well in his role. Kartik’s brother’s track does well and the second half is entertaining. With some genuinely funny jokes and funny sequences, Pankaj Tripathi shines.

Kartik Aaryan looks stylish and gives a good performance. Kriti Sanon, after giving a great performance in Bareilly Ki Barfi, gives a decent role in this one. Actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Alka Amin are seen in supporting cast, and can take the film forward. Pankaj’s weird clothing style was designed to evoke some laughs, but it didn’t and was ridiculous at the same time. Laxman Utekar marks his debut writing the script.

The film has some 5 recreated songs, there are 4 more old songs that are used with the new music by Tanishk Bagchi. Mannat Noor’s Tu Laung Main Elaachi has lot of auto-tune. Ketan Sodha’s background score is welcoming for most of the times.

Luka Chuppi is packed with few laughs. Luka Chuppi releases on 01st March, 2019.
