Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi showcases brutality, bloodshed and a lot of beauty!

The film is packed with exceptional action sequences, Kangana Ranaut’s attempts to give something beyond the general vision is clearly visible onscreen. The background score is powerful and scenes are captivating.

The story of courage can be watched on the big screen. Manikarnika has aerial shots over the spell-binding locations of Jhansi, the scenes come alive with Amitabh Bachchan’s impressive baritone, about our country which was watched carefully by British. The film stars a fun loving and energetic Manikarnika (Kangana Ranaut) who then gets married to the King of Jhansi Gangadhar Rao (Jisshu Sengupta). Manikarnika is renamed as Lakshmibai and she blends well with the people of Jhansi. She takes over as the rightful Queen of Jhansi and refuses to accept any offers of negotiations with the British. This begins to hurt the ego of English rulers as they start to reveal their true colours. Spanning various historic moments in a single timeline, we get to see one final war. The rest of the story is as we have read in our history books.

K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, the man who made Baahubali, has written the epic story for the film. Kiran Deohans and Gnana Shekar V.S’ cinematography is magical. Displaying courage on screen Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has star performance by Kangana Ranaut. She is bold and boisterous! Full of energy, she takes her character seriously and the film becomes entertaining. Support cast is strong, Jisshu Sengupta has a good performance. Ankita Lokhande is impressive as being fierce and also caring. Kulbhushan Kharbanda is great and Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub gives a fine shot. Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut have directed this film. The direction is great and the story is worth watching on the big screen. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s songs are good from Vijayi Bhava and the background score by Sanchit & Ankit Balhara is very impactful.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi  is a visual treat for History lovers. The film is intriguing and should be watch with the entire family. Kangana Ranaut makes the film bold and beautiful.
