Recently, Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari along with Ravi Udyawar announced their big project, Ramayana, which will be made in the 3D version with a massive budget of 500 crores. Soon, rumours surrounding Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone playing the titular role of Lord Rama & Sita were heard. Reporters spoke to the director and he’s made the much-awaited mega project!
Nitesh Tiwari is presently promoting his upcoming directorial, Chhichhore, which stars Shraddha Kapoor & Sushant Singh Rajput in lead roles and is a college drama. While interacting he was asked about the news of Deepika and Hrithik being a part of Ramayana going viral. To this, he said, “You said ‘rumours’, right?”
When asked if anyone was approached, the director said, “I have not yet started thinking about the cast yet. First we are trying to get it right on papers, with our executions, and with our thought process and everything. We are still trying to get there.. baaki baate we’ll start with later.”
Nitesh also revealed about reuniting with Aamir Khan after the blockbuster Dangal, and was all praises for him.
The film to be produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra, the venture has been in the making for the past three years.
“Ramayana will be made with actors from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi film industries as the makers are targeting a pan-India as well as global audience,” read a statement earlier.
