Saaho is a film with a grand vision. The action thriller is full of twists, turns and excellent performance by Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor.

The story has bad men chasing a black box, and are followed by the police including undercover cops such as Ashok (Prabhas) and Amrita (Shraddha Kapoor). There are gangs in a city of Waaji, one is led by Roy (Jackie Shroff). He is killed in an accident after which all of the gangs come together to get that black box. By end of the first half, we see Ashok come out and is not an undercover agent, he falls in love with Amrita, villains keep changing and it is confusing about what the makers are looking to establish. There are a lot of thrilling chases, the gangs of Waaji, amidst very ordinary twists, fight each other to know what was in that Black box.

Saaho is Sujeeth’s story and is a combination of ideas. He has given a great plot and efforts are visible in the screenplay too. Saaho features Prabhas’ performance that is engrossing and intrigues the audience. Shraddha Kapoor is stunning and gives support to the story. Playing a baddies, Chunky Pandey is convincing as Devraj. He and Tinnu Anand are great in the film. Jackie Shroff’s cameo was too short and Neil Nitin Mukesh is stylish and plays players’ character. Mahesh Manjrekar also gets a very short role.

Saaho is Prabhas’ big film, although the movie has potential but could not soar. It’s a 350-crore worth of investment in the project!

Saaho releases on 30th August, 2019.
