Panipat is Ashutosh Gowariker film and maintains authenticity and entertainment value representing our history books to life. Great work by Kriti Sanon and Arjun Kapoor – the duo have put in their best efforts in Panipat.

The first half revolves around the Third Battle of the Panipat in which we get to see the fight between Sadashivrao Bhau (Arjun Kapoor) and Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt). It begins with Sadashivrao proving himself worthy to Nana Peshwa Rao (Mohnish Bahl). After he captures Udgir fort, Sadashiv gets married to Parvati (Kriti Sanon) and gets the responsibility to manage the finance of the Maratha kingdom. Defending the Mughal emperor, Najib-Ud-Daula (Mantra) invites Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt) to India. The cruel Ahmad Shah challenges Maratha Empire and initiates the 3rd battle of Panipat. The remaining story revolves around the battle and how the Maratha empire faced Abdali and supporters to defend their valour.

Ashutosh Gowariker continues to work with historians to maintain the authenticity of the story. He has presented the same here and at most of the places, has not taken any cinematic liberties. Gowariker just takes an interesting chapter from our History books and beautifully visualized it. A few scenes are like so authentic, seems like watching your History textbook come to life on-screen.

Panipat presents Arjun Kapoor who gives his best to portray the role of Sadashivrao Bhau. The efforts are visible from scene 1. He has done exceptionally well and presented such a complicated character. He is great at the fighting sequences too and was able to work the accent well. Kriti Sanon is sincere in her role, she has brilliantly performed in the film. She has given impressive acts, fight sequences and done her best to be Parvati. Sanjay Dutt plays the ruthless man who is barbaric and dangerous. Mantra is good in his wicked role. Mohnish Bahl and Padmini Kolhapure give a decent performance in their short roles. Zeenat Aman, with just a single scene gives an everlasting impression of being exceptional. The BGM work makes the scenes extraordinary. Mann Mein Shiva is a great song, with all the actors.

Panipat delivers the best, the film is an accurate representation of historic events along with enhanced entertainment value.

Panipat Movie releases on 06th December, 2019.
