The locales of Goa leave a mark, Malang has a captivating story that keeps one glued to the seats.

The film revolves around the life of four grey characters, the story has a lot of revenge burdened with a lot of funny ‘drug warnings’. Advait (Aditya Roy Kapur) who is a bagpack tripper, Sara (Disha Patani), Michael (Kunal Kemmu) & Agashe (Anil Kapoor) – two officers come across each other in Goa. The story takes place in two different timelines, one indicates the purpose of revenge and other designs the execution. We get to see Advait from a normal person trying to escape the usual life finding himself in Goa to someone filled with a vengeance on a killing spree. The purpose behind the same is the story.

Malang is by far Mohit Suri’s darkest film an attempts at establishing emotions that are packed with just the proper amount of thrills. Expressing it in two different timelines, it gives a lot of comfort to understand it all. Script gathers speed which majorly works in the favour of the movie. Aseem Arora’s script continues to maintain dual-shade characters for every actor and is backed by exuberant performances.

Aditya Roy Kapur is impressive and is good at his acting is concerned and also from alcohol to drugs. He plays a grey role and his robust physique is and beard-styles look good on him. Disha Patani has great looks and in this one she does a special role. She gets a lot of scope to act and does it very well. Anil Kapoor’s acting is remarkable and the kind of roles he’s choosing are diverse and unique. He plays a druggie police officer who doesn’t believe in any rules. Kunal Kemmu works on gradually showcasing layers of his character, while exhibiting the depth he has got in his acting. Elli Avrram gets a character that is well designed for her. She tones her character and never tries to overdo.

Malang is thrilling and fast paced, it narrates an intriguing story.

Malang releases on 7th February, 2020.
