Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev in 83. The film takes us back to the time when India won the ICC Cricket World Cup in 1983.

Ranveer Singh shared a brand new still from 83 on Twitter and his resemblance to Kapil Dev in the image is unbelievable.

Fans have started complimenting the actor. The picture has Ranveer’s uncanny resemblance to Kapil Dev, others are appreciating the 1983 win.

“Spectacular! what an iconic moment this is baba…83 is going to be a milestone in your career,” wrote one user.

Another user commented, “Yaar yeh toh pura Kapil ji lag rahe hain. Chalo 83 ka World Cup nahi dekha tha because we were not even born at that time, but will watch 83 to relive those victorious moments again. Why so good #RanveerSingh How do you manage to look so perfect in every movie? (sic)”

Deepika Padukone plays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev in the film. It also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Harrdy Sandhu and Ammy Virk among others.

83 is directed by Kabir Khan and will hit the silver screens on April 10, 2020.
