Hundred Review is a perfect comeback of Lara Dutta. The series has a very interesting take on police department and also regular politics that goes on inside.

Hundred is starring Lara Dutta Bhupathi, Rinku Rajguru, Karan Wahi, Sudhanshu Pandey, Parmeet Sethi, Makarand Deshpande, Rajeev Siddhartha in lead roles. The film is directed by Ruchi Narain, Taher Shabbir, Ashutosh Shah. It is streaming on: Disney Plus Hotstar.

Netra Patil (Rinku Rajguru) is a girl who dreams about Switzerland but has a life is restricted to household and ordinary government job. While she is trying to cope and create a path for her dream, she is diagnosed with a 4th stage brain tumour and is told that she has just 100 days to left. Saumya Shukla (Lara Dutta) is an ACP in Mumbai Police but struggling for being respected in her job. Despite being an ACP she is not given real cases and has to face  disrespect at her workplace especially from her boss Anshuman (Prameet Sethi). The reason is being her gender. She works hard to solve a case on her own, but the credit is given to her juniors.

She is married to Praveen (Sudhanshu Pandey), who is a senior in the Narcotics department but despite being a cool and easy husband does not understand her well. What is interesting is that even Saumya is cheating on her husband with Manohar Dahiya (Karan Wahi).

With co-incidence there is a lot of confusion that bring Netra and Saumya together, they make a n interesting team to handle cases of Mumbai Police. While Netra is doing it all to seek excitement in her life, Saumya gets a talented informer in her.

Hundred is a drama written by Ruchi Narain, Ashutosh Shah, and Abhishek Dubey has lots of elements of dark comedy, politics & romance. The screenplay is engaging and from the beginning till the end, this 8-episode show keeps everyone on their toes without making anyone feel bored. Even though the core of the story looks familiar, there’s a lot of masala which keeps everyone entertained and thrilled while is looking for more.

The series has an important message of women empowerment and it does not get preachy as they draw the lines between rights and wrongs. The characters are very well written and almost everyone has shades of dark. With many moments to make you laugh there is never a lack of entertainment.

Hundred has Rinku Rajguru who is the soul of the show. The actress who made her debut with Marathi cult classic film Sairat is fabulous here and is charming with every frame. Her performance is natural and extremely endearing. After watching the show, we can all see her potential in ‘Hundred’ that marks her performance. Bollywood actress, Lara Dutta has also made her digital debut with the show and she excels in the role of the cop. Karan Wahi is also exceptional with his Haryanvi accent. Makrand Deshpande is impressive to watch. There’s a short cameo by Amitabh Bachchan which is cleverly featured.
