Eroticism and crimes of passion have made a few edge-of-the-seat thrillers, and Dirty Hari is one such film. Dirty Hari director: M. S. Raju is featuring Shravan Reddy, Ruhani Sharma and Simrat Kaur in lead roles.

Although the title of the movie brings back memories of Dirty Harry, the well known Clint Eastwood cop action film series of the 1970s and early 1980s, Dirty Hari is an erotic thriller in which characters are either ambivalent or intense or both. This also makes the movie worth a watch, even though the movie doesn’t always succeed in keeping the audiences emotionally involved.

In the film, we witness Hari (Shravan Reddy) to be is a gifted chess player who befriends Vasudha (Ruhani Sharma), who’s the daughter of a rich businessman. They are good with each other, and in no time fall in love. When they’re about to get married, Hari develops a liking for Jasmine (Simrat Kaur), a debutante actress who’s up for bold roles and is also his friend’s girlfriend. Hari and Jasmine have a secret affair, but their sexcapades lead to unforeseen consequences.

Despite budgetary constraints, the production design and Baalreddy’s cinematography are good. Although the story’s climax could have been threateningly ordinary, the punch at the final moments of the film makes audiences move to the edge of the seats.

Dirty Hari is a definitely a one-time watch.
