The winners are thrilled as fans are rejoicing their victory too, are we going to get to watch all these movies soon?

The world of Cinema flourishes along with art and legacy that flourishes with each year. It’s the day of the Oscars, and the 93rd Academy Award has concluded this morning (for India). The ceremony conferred immaculate films with the awards they deserve. While Frances McDormand and Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland were the clear winners, Anthony Hopkins became the eldest winner of the Best Actor trophy.

Nomadland created history at the Oscars winning 3 awards, Best Picture, Best Director Chloé Zhao (second women director ever and first Asian woman to make the cut) and Best Actress for Frances McDormand.

Chloé Zhao and “Nomadland” were the big winners at the 93rd Academy Awards, winning best picture, director and lead actress (Frances McDormand) honors in a ceremony that also presented some historic firsts. Emerald Fennell started it early as the first woman to win a screenplay award since 2008. Yuh-Jung Youn’s win as the first Korean actor was predicted but Anthony Hopkins’ lead actor win for “The Father” was a surprise.

The ceremony opened with a speech from Oscar winner Regina King and was held at Los Angeles’ Union Station, which at one time hosted many such events and has seen a recent restoration. Producers of the show — Emmy nominee Jesse Collins, Oscar nominee Stacey Sher and Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh — predicted a lively ceremony.
