Directed by Ramesh Varma – Rakshasudu Hindi remake will be starring Akshay Kumar in lead roles.

The 2019-Telugu film Rakshasudu is the remake of the 2018-Tamil film Ratsasan. The film has set off a remake in many ways. Ever since its success in 2019, a number of Bollywood actors have been approached to star in the Hindi remake of the film.

As heard, Akshay Kumar will star in the Hindi remake. In fact, Akshay Kumar was supposed to star in the psychological thriller last year, but due to his busy schedule and prior commitments and having contracted COVID-19, he could not take up the film for one year.

Ramesh Varma, who directed Rakshasudu, will also direct the Hindi version. This will be his Bollywood debut in direction. Sharing his excitement, Ramesh says, “It’s a great honour and opportunity to direct Akshay Kumarji. Rakshasudu was a big hit, so I am looking forward to recreating the same magic with Akshayji. I know the expectations would be high; we shall start working on the script.”

According to sources, Akshay Kumar had given his word to producer Koneru Satyanarayana that he would collaborate with the latter for the Hindi remake. However, Akshay Kumar had requested Satyanarayana to give the Hindi remake rights to producer Vashu Bhagnani.
