The teaser of upcoming series Candy released on August 19. The much awaited series stars Ronit Roy and Richa Chadha in lead roles and has been directed by Ashish R Shukla. Ronit Roy will be essaying the role of a teacher whereas Richa Chadha will be seen playing a cop in the web series. According to the intriguing teaser, the series will have suspense, fear, hope and mystery.
Actress Richa Chadha also shared the teaser on her official Instagram handle and captioned it, “The secret’s in the candy. It’s time to #UnwrapTheSin with #CandyOnVootSelect, our newest web-series: stay tuned (sic).”. Here’s the Instagram post.
On the other hand, actor Ronit Roy also shared the teaser on Instagram. Rudrakund ke sheher mein, jo dikhta hai wo hota nahin. It’s time to #UnwrapTheSin with #CandyOnVootSelect, our newest web-series: stay tuned (sic),” read his caption. Here’s his Instagram post.
The series revolves around the murder mysteries and more. It is set in the fictional city of Rudrakund located in the hills. Candy is produced by Optimystix Entertainment.
Chadha was in news last month for backing Shilpa Shetty in the porn production case that has led to the arrest of the latter’s husband Raj Kundra. Calling out those “blaming women for the mistakes of the men in their lives,” she said the practice has become a “national sport.” Read more about this.
On the work front, she was last seen in Zee5’s Lahore Confidential. She played the role of a RAW agent in the project. Ronit Roy’s last appearance was Eros Now’s 7 Kadam.
Candy is scheduled to premiere in September on OTT.
